Round-Up
Here’s some music news from the last few months you may have missed while I was being a slacker and not blogging.
- You can download The Hold Steady’s January 31, 2011 show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in FLAC or MP3.
- In case you missed it, The Current launched a 24 hour local music station in April. All Minnesota artists, all the time – and it’s quite good! Listen on-line here.
- The band that instantly transports me back to high school, Depeche Mode, is releasing another remix album next week. Featuring UNKLE, Peter, Bjorn and John, and more remixing some of their classics. In other news, listen to Bat for Lashes cover Depeche Mode’s Strangelove here.
- Trent Reznor isn’t done with Nine Inch Nails yet.
- Cameron Crowe (director of Say Anything and Almost Famous) has relaunched his website as he prepares for a busy year with a new movie (W_e Bought a Zoo_) and documentary (Pearl Jam Twenty). Via Pop Candy.
- And lastly, Soundgarden is working on their first new album in 15 years.
